Divinity (formerly known as World Fellowship Christian Center & Church International) was officially founded on February 25, 1996. Yet the story of how it began started many years prior to this date and a world away. As a youth it was obvious that Frederick T. Nah was called to work for and with people. His love for people and Jesus Christ was evident through the many missionary quests he would embark upon in his youth. He traveled the interior of Africa, often encountering people of many races and ethnic backgrounds. The vision of WFCC was quietly being nurtured and established in the loins of Frederick T. Nah. God was preparing him for a great work.
When he and his wife, Karen, met and married, the stage was set. The two moved to Georgia and a series of events were about to occur that would change things forever. After their move to Georgia, the two worked diligently and obediently in ministry. Through the unction of the Holy Spirit, they were led to a Full Gospel conference in New Orleans. It was in the midst of the conference that the Lord began to speak to them about what He wanted to be established in His name. God sought a multiracial, multilingual body of believers.
God called WFCC to be a very special place, where his people were “changing the method, but not the message.” A handful of faithful believers followed this call, and shortly thereafter, WFCC had its first worship service in the home of our pastors. Within a short time, we were able to move into a larger facility and saw our membership continue to grow. With more growth we were able to move into the 66 Norcross location and several support ministries were birthed.
Several of the support ministries, Zoe Women’s Ministry, Men of Issachar and Flames Children’s Ministry, contributed to the growth of the ministry. Our first yearly Koinonia festival was celebrated during this time. We also ordained and licensed 8 Ministers, 1 Pastor, 4 elders and 4 Deacons. In preparation for the future we purchased land in Alpharetta to build a church home. In the meantime, we moved to a larger church facility 7901 Roberts Drive, Dunwoody, GA. WFCC since its inception has mentored 2 other ministries, and offers support and outreach ministries – marriage, women, men, children and singles, just to name a few.
Our now Archbishop and Overseer continue to be recognized for the outstanding work that they are doing in Missions and Evangelism in Georgia and worldwide. Their accolades include inclusion in the Who’s Who in Georgia and the Gospel Choice Awards.
Following the direction of the Holy Spirit, WFCC changed its name to Divinity Church International, in line with the true vision from God. Divinity remains steadfast to the vision that God gave us. We continue to strive towards World Evangelism, becoming a multicultural worship congregation, and to support ministries and community outreach. It is the desire of Archbishop Frederick T. Nah, Overseer Karen Nah, our pastors, ministry leaders, and Divinity Church at large to see God’s people grow and prosper in the things of God and to see the message of life spread all over the world.
